Brainfuse is an online tutoring site that offers 24/7 online tutoring, one on one homework help, writing labs, skills library with videos and flashcards, and practice tests.

Per Logan County Schools: Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff, We are aware of a social media post this evening regarding many select schools being targeted for violence on Friday. We have continued working with local law enforcement representatives to investigate this swatting activity. Representatives from local law enforcement have shared that this has been taking place this week in various areas of West Virginia and has unfortunately reached Logan County. We will continue to work with law enforcement to ensure the safety of all students and staff members in our school system. Presently, law enforcement is preparing a plan to provide additional security at our schools on Friday. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this situation.

Representative Rocky Smith from Lincoln Tech spoke to our seniors this morning about the opportunities for furthering their education at his school.

Mrs. Clines Biology classes are learning about Osmosis, hypertonic, hypotonic solutions and semi permeable membranes by experimenting with an egg.

Academy Day 2024 will be held for any and all students, parents, guardians and school officials interested in learning more about U.S. service academies (Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Military/West Point, Naval). We will also have representatives from local ROTC programs on hand to discuss ROTC scholarship opportunities. Mock interviews will be offered and a representative from the Dept. of Defense’s Medical Examination Review Board will join us on Saturday, September 28, 2024, and Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Mr. Morgan's FLP students are learning Flag Etiquette and about 9/11 in class this week.

Homecoming and Student Government voting will be held from 11am Thursday, September 12th until 9am Friday, September 13th. Students will vote using an online link that will be shared with their teachers Thursday. ECA and Morning Vocational students may see Mrs. Ellis in room 105 upon returning to school on Thursday to receive the link. We plan to announce the results by the end of the day Friday.

September 30, 2024, Jostens will meet with the class of 2025 to distribute senior merchandise ordering information for cap and gowns, class rings, class of 2025 memorabilia, announcements, etc.
